Welcome

Welcome

At this website you can find out about what we do here at Lindsey Lodge Hospice, how we make it happen and how you can help us. It is wonderful that so many people keep in touch and help in so many ways.

Someone is always here if you need further information or would like to discuss anything. Please contact us and we will try our best to help you.

Providing free services to patients living with a life-limiting illness and their families will cost Lindsey Lodge £1,800,000 this year - that's around £3.50 for every minute, every day of the year. So every £1 raised is precious and is gratefully received.

Hundreds stride out for second Sleepwalk

Pictured above are some of the tired but happy walkers just about to cross the finishing line after walking 13 miles around Scunthorpe to raise funds for Lindsey Lodge.

We can't say thank you enough to everyone involved with the event whether they were walkers, helpers or companies offering financial support, such as Corus, or help in other ways such as Scunthorpe United FC and Limelight Software Ltd together with the many businesses who offered free or reduced price items.

For more information click here to visit our Sleepwalk website.

New art means fresh outlook for patients

Patients in our super new look daycare facility now look out onto a new garden complete with two wonderful pieces of art by Herefordshire based artist blacksmith Jenny Pickford. Pictured above is Jenny with hospice deirector Alison Tindall admiring 'Circles of Life'. The second piece is entitled 'Hope'.

Jenny's two pieces of work outside complements four interior pieces, with three of the four works based on the main mandala artwork ‘Damson Meridian’, by local glass artist Gill Hobson.

This work, along with other developments to the quality of the hospice environment, has been generously part funded by Department of Health.

The Department of Health has also part funded refurbishment of a bathroom, with matching funding from St James Place Foundation.

Leaving a gift for Lindsey Lodge

Besides providing day care services to help people have the best quality of life, part of our care is for people towards the end of life. Many individuals and families choose to request donations in place of flowers at the funeral of a loved one. You may wish to consider this way of recognising the care provided by Lindsey Lodge. All funeral directors offer to collect donations if you do not wish to do so.

Leaving a gift to Lindsey Lodge in your Will is also something that many people choose to do, once those closest to them have been considered. Without such gifts Lindsey Lodge would not have developed in the way it has and future developments can be helped tremendously by such gifts.

Click here to find out more about legacies on our 'Leaving a Legacy' page.

If you'd like to make your will online just click here to visit The Will Site.
