Helping out at Lindsey Lodge...
I managed to get out of the cupboard today - got a bit fed up in the dark with nothing but teddy bears for company...
Anyhow I thought I'd help Jeff out.

Jeff is one of our volunteer receptionists. Like all the other volunteers Jeff comes in when he can and helps make sure that all callers get answered and connected, sorts the mail out and greets visitors. It can get very busy, but volunteers like Jeff save Lindsey Lodge thousands of pounds each year.
Then I found the SWEETS and SNACKS...

On our reception we make sure that the inner self is satisfied. A range of soft drinks and snacks are available to visitors and patients. Visitors may need to stay for quite some time and drinks and snacks help stave off tiredness.
Anyhow Jeff chucked me out before I could even get a wrapper off, so I thought I'd help Rita in the kitchen...

Together with her colleagues Rita rustles up food for patients who are staying with us, for patients coming in for daycare, volunteers and busy staff and the occasional hungry bear like me. Inpatients need breakfast, lunch and evening meals and when all 10 beads are full it gets very busy. I suggested Rita might want to add a pepper to her salad. She told me where to stuff it...
I went back the cupboard pretty smartish... |
