Challenge yourself in 2013!
Get fit and get outdoors in 2013! You can give yourself a double challenge by undertaking your activity and raising vital funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Thank you to our runners in the Virgin London Marathon on April 21st 2013. To keep tabs on the ballot for 2014 places click the following text Virgin London Marathon. BUPA Great North Run 2013. Lindsey Lodge Hospice has guaranteed places available for the BUPA Great North Run in Gateshead which will take place on Sunday the 15th September 2013. These places have to be claimed by the end of April and the Hospice wants to hear from runners interested in the double challenge of running this iconic half marathon and raising funds for hospice care.If you'd like to know more or have gained a ballot place and can run to raise funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice just get in touch with Vivian at vivian.vincent@nhs.net or call on 01724 843731. _______________________________________________________ You can donate securely online NOW and save time and postage! Whatever you can do to help is greatly appreciated. * Oxygen supplies cost £1400 a month * Providing care for an in-patient costs over £400 a day * An assessment for a day care patient costs £60 * A massage for a Lymphoedema patient costs £50 * Materials for daycare therapy sessions cost £10 a month * A hot meal for a patient costs £5. ________________________________________________ Donating and raising funds on-line You can donate money you raise online by credit or debit card by clicking any of the button below. You can not only donate through these sites but, if you are undertaking a challenge, you can raise all or part of your funds securely online by setting up your personal fundraising page . Supporting Lindsey Lodge so we can help others, by setting up a tribute fund, offers you a way of ensuring the memory of your loved one is always there. We have linked up with another charity, Much Loved, which offers a free service to help you create a sensitive, personalised and lasting memorial website in memory of your loved ones. Leaving a gift for Lindsey Lodge Besides providing day care services to help people have the best quality of life, part of our care is for people towards the end of life. Many individuals and families choose to request donations in place of flowers at the funeral of a loved one. You may wish to consider this way of recognising the care provided by Lindsey Lodge. All funeral directors offer to collect donations if you do not wish to do so. Leaving a gift to Lindsey Lodge in your Will is also something that many people choose to do, once those closest to them have been considered. Without such gifts Lindsey Lodge would not have developed in the way it has and future developments can be helped tremendously by such gifts.
