How You Can Help

How You Can Help

Pictured above is Michelle Harness from Scunthorpe United FC presenting £667 to Andy Hirst of Lindsey Lodge Hospice . The money is a contribution from the FA Community Shield, formerly known as the Charity Shield, made to a local charity chosen on behalf of Scunthorpe United by Winterton Iron.

Each of the 124 clubs that participated in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup is eligible for a section of the FA Community Shield proceeds which the club can donate to a worthy cause.

Andy said, “ Donations such as this are a bonus to a local charity such as Lindsey Lodge Hospice.  It’s great to think that funds from this great footballing occasion flow out to all league clubs and that Scunthorpe United should think of Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
