Hospice teams up with golf club to hold charity quiz night
A North Lincolnshire hospice has teamed up with its golf club neighbours to hold a fundraising charity quiz night.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice on Burringham Road, Scunthorpe is inviting quiz enthusiasts to sign up for its first Annual Quiz Night on Thursday 30 November, which will be held at Ashby Decoy Golf Club.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice Corporate Fundraiser Andy Hirst said: “There’s nothing quite like a good pub quiz to bring out the competitive spirit, especially when there’s a prize at stake.
“We’re challenging quiz lovers – whether it’s pub players, local businesses, or friends and family – to submit a team of four, and come along for some fun and enjoy a great night out. There’s no limit to the number of teams an organisation can enter, so we’re sure there’ll be some friendly rivalry along the way!”
For a £20 entry fee, teams will be quizzed by Question Master Keith Moody at Ashby Decoy, and will including half-time sandwiches and refreshments. There will also be a raffle and all important top prize for the winners.
Andy added: “Lindsey Lodge is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year.
“We’re an independent charity and need to raise an average of £7,000 every day in order to continue to provide our specialist hospice services to patients in North Lincolnshire, so we hope people will get behind us and support our event.”
The quiz starts at 7pm on Thursday 30 November. To book a place, or find out more information, please ring Anne Millett or Andy Hirst on (01724) 270835.
