This is a fantastic opportunity to start your Finance career with Lindsey Lodge Hospice which is an independent charity providing specialist palliative care to patients with life-limiting conditions and support to their families and carers.  This role will also include day release at North Lindsey College for you to study for a nationally recognised accountancy qualification offering a strong foundation for future career development.

 The key purpose of the role is to support the Finance Officer in the provision of a comprehensive accounting service on behalf of the Hospice.

The post-holder will assist the Finance Officer in a range of data input and accounts reconciliation tasks necessary to allow the Hospice to account for income & expenditure via the internal ledger package. In addition, the post-holder will take responsibility for the receiving and processing of a range of finance documents to allow the Finance Officer to complete regular month end/year-end financial reporting. 


We are looking for a self-motivated individual with the ability to work accurately and methodically with acute attention to detail. You will be a strong communicator with excellent organisation skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

To apply for this post you should have 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade c or above (or equivalent).  Knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel spreadsheets, Word, Outlook and databases is desirable. The ability to build and maintain working relationships is essential.

 
 This is a 12 month apprenticeship with the potential for progression onto an advanced apprenticeship programme and full-time employment.
