A North Lincolnshire charity is celebrating the success of its latest fundraising prize draw.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare has revealed it raised £25,000 in its Win a Car for Christmas draw, thanks to the support of local people.

Based on Burringham Road, Scunthorpe, the 30-year-old independent charity provides specialist palliative care for patients with life limiting illnesses. As well as providing vital end of life care, it also delivers a variety of innovative services and interventions, which provide much-needed support to people living with life limiting conditions in the community.

The winning tickets were revealed during a live stream on Lindsey Lodge’s Facebook page in the run up to Christmas. There were three prizes up for grabs, with first prize being a brand new Suzuki Ignis or £10,000, a Lay-Z Spa hot tub and a 4K Smart TV.

Lindsey Lodge Fundraising Manager Kirsty Walker said: “Congratulations to our winners! Our first prize winners have chosen to remain anonymous, they couldn’t believe they’d won and said they were still on cloud nine now.”

She added: “A massive thank you to everyone who bought tickets and to Baden Powell, Euronics Johns Electrical and B&Q Scunthorpe for providing us with fantastic prizes.

“With our latest draw, the total raised by our prize draws has now surpassed £200,000 which is truly amazing – and it’s all thanks to our fantastic supporters!

“We’re extremely grateful for the support that we receive from the local community. By purchasing and selling our tickets you are directly supporting a vital service that makes a difference to local patients and their families.”
