We're urging people to pop the kettle on in March to help raise the much-needed funds it needs to provide our care.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice & Healthcare, which celebrated its 30th birthday in 2022, has launched its ‘Care for a Cuppa’ fundraising campaign to help it continue to deliver its specialist palliative care and support to North Lincolnshire patients and their families, who are living with life-limiting illnesses.

To coincide with the campaign, the Lindsey Lodge Fundraising Team will be taking part in a ‘Thankathon’ to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported the Burringham Road-based charity during its anniversary year.

Lindsey Lodge Head of Fundraising Kirsty Walker said: “We’re going to be a contacting our supporters to say a huge thank you, as without their generous fundraising activities and donations we really couldn’t continue to do what we do.

“Like everyone, we’re seeing our costs go up, so every penny people donate to us really does make a difference!”

She added: “Whether it’s a cup of tea or coffee, or even a hot chocolate, signing up to Care for a Cuppa is a lovely way to catch up with friends, family or even work colleagues – and everyone who takes part will really be making a difference to local people, who urgently need the Hospice’s help.”

Everyone who registers to Care for a Cuppa will receive their very own fundraising pack to help get started with their event. They will also receive a copy of Lindsey Lodge Volunteer Jill Perry’s famous fail-safe scone recipe, as well as some of her other homemade favourites to provide them with inspiration.

People can sign up free of charge online now here by email at llh.enquiries@nhs.net or by phoning the Fundraising Team on 01724 270835.

Lindsey Lodge’s supporters have already arrange Care for a Cuppa events in Messingham, Crowle, Scotter and Burton, which will be posted on its website and social media channels in the coming weeks.
