As part of Trustee Week 2023 we sat down with some of our Trustees at Lindsey Lodge to find out a little more about them and what they do at Lindsey Lodge.
Firstly, we spoke to Peter Stapleton who has been a trustee at Lindsey Lodge for four years. Peter is currently the chair of our finance committee which oversees the finance functions at Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare. The finance committee meet regularly to review the reports compiled by our finance team, which they then present to the main board of trustees. Peter has a wealth of experience in this field, having held the position of Senior Partner at a local firm of Chartered Accountants. When Peter retired, he decided to look for somewhere he could volunteer his time that might be able to benefit from his skills and experience. As a local resident he knew that Lindsey Lodge was a worthy cause and took up the role as trustee four years ago. There are lots of things Peter likes about being a trustee at Lindsey Lodge. Not only does it help him keep up to date with current financial matters, but he feels as though he can really make a difference, and that he is using his free time for a worthwhile purpose.
