Charity event is a knockout success

We've been given a £26K boost thanks to the success of our first ever ‘It’s a Knockout’ event.

The event held on Friday 23 June at Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare saw 220 competitors from 22 local businesses and organisations bravely competing in some crazy challenges, tackling giant inflatables and getting very wet, all in the name of fundraising.

Lindsey Lodge Fundraiser Kathryn Stuart said: “There’s still a few weeks until the final fundraising total is revealed, but we are already overwhelmed by the current amount raised – and the amount of support this event has generated for the Hospice!

 “We challenged each team to raise £1,000 and they absolutely took up the challenge – and the feedback has been fantastic!”

As well as enjoying the thrills and spills of the action, supporters could enjoy live music, a licensed bar, food and refreshments and a whole host of children’s entertainment.

Kathryn added: “Every penny raised from this event goes towards Lindsey Lodge’s specialist end of life services and support, so it’s fantastic to see local business supporting North Lincolnshire patients and families.

“On behalf of Lindsey Lodge, I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported us at the event – as well as all of our competitors.

“Well done to The Pink Pig, who were crowned this year’s winners - we look forward to doing it all over again next year!”
