Christmas Tree Festival boosts Hospice funds
.
20th December 2019
This year’s spectacular Festival of Christmas Trees has raised over £5,500 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
This annual charity event, now in its fourteenth year, was held in aid of the Hospice by the Rotary Club of Scunthorpe over two weekends in December at Old Brumby United Church. It featured over 85 sparkling Christmas trees, wreaths, and a whole host of musical entertainment, as well as providing the backdrop for Lindsey Lodge’s Light up a Life and Carol services.
Rotarian and Lindsey Lodge Community Fundraiser Anne Millett said: “What a marvellous Christmas gift for Lindsey Lodge Hospice to receive such a significant amount of money!
“On behalf of everyone at the Hospice, I’d like to say how grateful we all are to George Jefferson and his wife Sue for all their time and effort in organising this lovely event every year, and a huge thank you to all of the local companies and organisations who put so much effort into creating such a fantastic festive display for everyone to enjoy.”
She added: “Thank you to Scunthorpe Rotary Club, Old Brumby United Church and all of our supporters for making this year’s Festival of Christmas Trees such a successful event!”
