We’re urging young people to step forward to help spread the word about our work in the local community.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice is looking for volunteer ambassadors, aged between 18 and 30, to reach out to the next generation of potential Hospice supporters and help Lindsey Lodge fundraisers with their activities.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Community Fundraiser Selina Doyle said: “Our Hospice has been providing its specialist palliative care to local people for over 26 years, and to ensure we’re here for future generations, we need our young ambassadors to help us spread our message amongst their friends, family and colleagues.”

She added: “These people could be stay at home mums or dads, or someone looking for valuable experience to put on their CV, they might also be a local group such as a book club or sports club wanting to give something back to charity – the main thing we need is enthusiasm to make a difference for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.”

Lindsey Lodge Hospice is run as an independent charity to provide free of charge, specialist care to North Lincolnshire people with any progressive life-limiting illness, and supports their family and carers during illness and into bereavement.

The Burringham Road Hospice’s long term aim is to have a pool of people who will represent it at events in held within the community aid of Lindsey Lodge, as well as support at Lindsey Lodge events and activities organised by its own fundraising team.

Selina added: “It could be shaking a bucket on our behalf at a local supermarket, organising a raffle or tombola at an event, or helping out at a Christmas party – there really is something for everyone, and as most of our events are family friendly, you can bring the family along too!”
