Counselling service continues over the phone

During this difficult time, here at Lindsey Lodge Hospice, our staff and volunteers are doing everything in their power to continue to provide our services, while adhering to social distancing advice.

Our counselling team, along with four volunteer counsellors are providing telephone counselling to over 80 people across North Lincolnshire.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Registered Counsellor, Carolyn Connor, said: “The majority of people we see have lost their life long partners and seeing other people is often a huge help. Social distancing could potentially lead to anxiety and depression, which is why it’s crucial that we carry on providing our counselling service.”

“In addition to our normal counselling, we’re also offering support over the phone on wellbeing at home under isolation, relaxation, mindfulness and are encouraging hobbies and crafts indoors during this challenging time.”

As a charity, we rely almost entirely on the donations and generosity of you, our local community, to ensure services such as this can continue.

Sadly, following the cancellation and postponement of our fundraising activities, we’re now anticipating a loss of income in excess of £500,000 due to Coronavirus.

To try and mitigate the financial impact of Coronavirus on our Hospice, and continue to provide our care, we’re asking you to support us in our emergency appeal. So, please help our Hospice and make a donation here

Thank you
