Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare has launched its ‘Kids’ Summer Challenge’ and is urging local little heroes to take on a special role of carrying out their own fundraising challenge, to raise £30, or more during the Summer Holidays.

Lindsey Lodge Fundraiser Selina Doyle said: “This is the second year we’ve thrown down the challenge to our young supporters.

“Last year over 50 children took part and raised over £3,000, so we’re hoping this year will be bigger and better than ever!

“Working as an individual, together with a group of friends, or within a local group or sports team – anyone can get involved.

“Whether it’s selling your old toys, holding a bake sale, or turning a hobby into a challenge... You’ll be our Hospice Hero!

“And there’s a real treat in store for everyone who manages to raise £30 or more – we’ll invite them to attend a Thank you Party at The Pink Pig, Scunthorpe, where we’ll present them with a medal and certificate. Then they’ll be able to enjoy a fun-filled day, enjoying the farm and indoor activities!”

She added: “Every penny raised goes towards Lindsey Lodge’s specialist end of life services and support, so this new generation of supporters is helping us to ensure we can continue to care for patients and families, both now and in the future.”
