A Scunthorpe garden centre has given Lindsey Lodge Hospice a £291 boost thanks to its first Tree of Life scheme.
Silica Lodge Garden Centre invited its customers to make a donation of their choice to hang a message for a loved one on their Tree of Life, which was situated in the middle of its Scotter Road store in the run up to Christmas.
Samantha Figliuzzi of Silica Lodge Garden Centre: “We only ran the scheme from the first week of December, so we’re delighted with the amount of money we raised!”
She added: “We are extremely proud to be supporting such an important and much valued local charity, and I’d like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful customers for their generosity. We hope we can repeat the campaign again this year.”

Lindsey Lodge Hospice is run as an independent charity to provide free of charge, specialist care to North Lincolnshire people with any progressive life-limiting illness, and support their family and carers during illness and into bereavement.

Hospice Fundraiser Tom Moody said: “We extremely grateful to Sam and the Silica Lodge team for choosing to support Lindsey Lodge. This is a fantastic example of how companies can work in partnership with us to really make a difference in their local community.”
