Have a tea break and support the Hospice

We're urging people to pop the kettle on and host their own tea break for charity during the month of May.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice has launched its Tea Break campaign to raise the much needed funds it needs to provide wellbeing services specialist palliative care and support to North Lincolnshire patients who are living with life-limiting illnesses.

To support the campaign, Volunteer Jill Perry, who was nominated and voted by her colleagues to be Lindsey Lodge Hospice’s Volunteer of the Year 2018, has provided her fail safe scone recipe, as well as some of her other homemade favourites to provide Tea Breakers with inspiration.

Jill (80) said: “I’ve been volunteering with Lindsey Lodge Hospice in a wide variety of roles for over 10 years, so I know at first-hand how important their work is – not just to patients, but their families and carers too.”

She added: “Signing up to hold a charity Tea Break for Lindsey Lodge is a lovely way to catch up with friends, family or even work colleagues – and every single penny raised will make a difference to local people who urgently need the Hospice’s help.”

Everyone who registers to hold a Tea Break will receive some helpful hints and Jill’s famous recipe, along with a starter pack to help them at their event. People can sign up free of charge online here now at by email at llh.enquiries@nhs.net or by phoning the Fundraising Team on 01724 270835.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice will also be holding two Tea Break events of its own in its brand new Lindsey’s Meet and Eat Restaurant on Wednesday 1 May and Friday 24 May between 10am and 11.30pm – all welcome!
