Lindsey Lodge Hospice has announced a fundraising scheme to collect and recycle Christmas trees after the festive season.

And we're now registering homes across North Lincolnshire for our Treecycling Scheme, which will run between Monday 7 and Friday 11 January 2019.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Fundraiser Rob Dannatt said: “For those who love the joys of a beautiful natural Christmas tree, but loathe the mess of disposing of them, our collection service is just for you!

“It’s really simple, all you need to do is register your details on our website and make a donation, then we’ll collect your tree and recycle it too.”

The Burringham Road Hospice is run as an independent charity to provide free of charge, specialist palliative care to patients and families living in North Lincolnshire. Last year alone it provided 2,160 overnight stays in its Inpatient Unit and had 2,090 attendances to its Wellbeing Centre.

Rob added: “Our running costs are around £3.3 million this year, and with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we rely on fundraising activities and donations, so we hope people will support our Treecycling scheme, in the knowledge they’ll be making a really big difference for our charity.”

Registration is open until Thursday 3 January, and the Hospice can collect from the following postcodes: DN9; DN15; DN16; DN17; DN18; DN20 and DN21. The suggested donation is £5.
