Lindsey Lodge Hospice is delighted to reveal that they are teaming up with John Leggott College for their third annual community art exhibition and sale.

The week-long event will take place at John Leggott College and will run between Friday 24 April and Thursday 30 April to raise funds for the Burringham Road-based charity, which provides specialist palliative care for the wellbeing and inpatient patients with life limiting illnesses from North Lincolnshire.

Lindsey Lodge Fundraiser Peter Dennis, who is organising the event said: “We’re really excited to be working John Leggott this year, it’s a great opportunity for young people to get involved with the Hospice and showcase their work.

“Last year saw over 400 individual pieces by local artists, photographers and crafters exhibited at the sell-out event. This year’s event will offer more space for exhibitors, so we’re looking forward to making this event bigger than ever.”

He added: “Together with John Leggott, we will be introducing the first Young Artist of the Year awards, which will take place on Friday 1 May, marking the official close of the week-long exhibition. Students of all ages will have the opportunity to take part and showcase their artwork which will be on display throughout the week.

The partnership between Lindsey Lodge Hospice and John Leggott College has also created an exciting opportunity for Art Foundation students to design the branding for this year’s event, with students competing to present their submissions to the Lindsey Lodge design brief to a judging panel.

Art Foundation students Georgina Binch and Eden Dowdle were the lucky winners, and their design will now be revealed as the official branding for this year’s event.

Peter Dennis added: “The standard of the student’s work was extremely high, which made judging very difficult!

“However, we felt the winning design really fitted our brief and really sums up this exciting partnership working.”

Lindsey Lodge Hospice is inviting local artists, photographers and crafters to register their interest in exhibiting their work by Friday 28 February. All exhibitors will be invited to attend an invitation-only preview event on the evening of Friday 24 April.
