It's #VolunteersWeek
.
1st June 2021
It’s #VolunteersWeek and we’re celebrating Lindsey Lodge’s fantastic volunteers! We’ll be sharing some volunteer profiles to highlight what they do and why they volunteer for us.
Paul Cowling (pictured here at our Elf Yourself Run in 2019) has been volunteering for Lindsey Lodge for two and a half years.
“I was looking for somewhere to volunteer that allows me to give back to the community, and Lindsey Lodge is a fantastic local charity and a very good cause – so I decided to volunteer.
“I volunteer at events, like the Glow Walk, Elf Yourself Run and car boot sales. Volunteering at events works perfectly for me as it means I can work volunteering around my full time job.
“I really enjoy volunteering at the events, they’re good fun and you get to see and meet a lot of new people, and the main thing is that you’re helping the cause.
“I’d absolutely recommend volunteering to anyone who’s thinking about it, there’s no pressure and I just help where I can – volunteering at the events is very flexible.”
Interested in volunteering and want to find out more? We’re holding a volunteer drop in session on Wednesday 2 June from 2pm until 4pm. If you’d like to pop by, please email llh.volunteering1@nhs.net to ensure social distancing.
