New venue revealed for Lindsey Lodge Light up a Life celebrations

Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare is inviting people across North Lincolnshire to Light up a Life and remember a lost loved one at a brand new venue this year.
 
Due to the growing numbers of people wishing to attend the service, which is open to anyone who has lost someone, the Light up a Life event will be held for the very first time at Normanby Hall Country Park on Thursday 16 December and will also be streamed live.
 
Lindsey Lodge Chief Executive Karen Griffiths said: “We’re extremely grateful to Normanby Hall Country Park and North Lincolnshire Council for supporting our Light up a Life service this year.
 
She added: “Last years’ service was held virtually due to the pandemic, so we are really looking forward to safely welcoming back our supporters at this very special evening of celebration and reflection in such a beautiful setting.”
 
The service will feature carols, readings and music, including appearances from the Salvation Army Choir and Brass Band and piper Danny Fleming.
 
During the service, the Lindsey Lodge tree will be decorated with dedications which will then be transferred the Memorial Garden at the Hospice following the service.
 
As part of its Light up a Life campaign, Lindsey Lodge is also encouraging the local community to get involved in lighting up their homes and workplaces in support of the charity, which has been caring for patients and families for over 29 years.
 
Karen said: “In the run up to Light up a Life this year, we’re asking our supporters to get involved in our very first Festival of Lights.
 
“Simply decorate your Christmas tree or house with a light display and pledge your support of Lindsey Lodge and we’ll virtually share your photos on our social media channels and on our website.”
 
She added: “We are a local charity supporting local people, and we hope that by taking part in our Light up a Life service and Festival of Lights, we’ll all be sharing a little light, love and hope after a some very difficult times.”
