Second annual art exhibition and sale announced by Hospice
.
29th January 2019
Local artists, photographers and crafters are being invited to showcase their work at Lindsey Lodge Hospice’s second annual community art exhibition and sale.
The event at Scawby Village Hall will run over the weekend of Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April to raise funds for the Burringham Road-based charity, which provides specialist palliative care for day and inpatient patients with life limiting illnesses from North Lincolnshire.
Lindsey Lodge Fundraiser Peter Dennis, who is organising the event said: “Thanks to the fantastic response to last year’s event from the arts and crafts community, we exhibited around 200 original pieces, which really demonstrates the appetite for this kind of event within the local community.”
He added: “This year’s event will offer more space for photography and crafts, and we’ll be featuring work by Carol Hudson, who was voted last year’s ‘Best Artist’ by people who attended the exhibition.
“We’re also delighted that last year’s featured artist Dennis Nash has agreed to support our event and submit his work again.”
Lindsey Lodge Hospice is inviting local artists, photographers and crafters to register their interest in exhibiting their work by Friday 22 February. All exhibitors will be invited to attend an invitation-only preview event on the evening of Friday 12 April.
