28th March 2022
We're celebrating 30 years of Care here at Lindsey Lodge. Since opening in 1992, we've continued to develop and expand our services, so we thought we'd shine the spotlight on how we are supporting our patients and their families in 2022. Today it's all about BEEP... Find out how you can get involved in our 30th celebrations here

Breathe Easy Enablement Programme (BEEP)

The Breathe Easy Enablement Programme (BEEP) has been designed and developed by Lindsey Lodge Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Sally Brownsell and Advanced Care Practitioner Occupational Therapist Sarah Hodge to support individuals diagnosed with complex respiratory conditions.

The Programme runs over a period of eight weeks and delivers a programme of exercise in the Lindsey Lodge enablement gym for the patient, as well as separate carer support sessions and a joint education session for both the patient and their carer.

The sessions cover a number of topics including breathlessness management, fatigue management, advancced care planning, recognising red flags (prevention of hospital admission), anxiety/low mood management and relaxation.

The programme is delivered by a number of healthcare professionals including therapists, our specialist palliative care consultant and counselling team, alongside community providers including the respiratory complex care matrons.
