Spotlight on Care: Our Training & Education Team

Training and education are a key factor in the provision of safe, effective and excellent palliative and supportive care. We recognise that education and training are a pivotal element to understanding the impact of a life limiting illness on patients and their families.

Lindsey Lodge is committed to providing learning and development for all professionals caring for patients with a palliative care need. As specialists in the provision of palliative care, we are proud to share our skills and knowledge with others through:

• Staff development
• Hosting students and working with universities
• Placements and professional visits
• Dementia friends training

The provision of education and training across Lindsey Lodge is led by Sally Watson, Quality and Education Lead. 

Sally and her team have recently supported the Northern Lincolnshire End of Life Partnership Learning Pathway, which was created to take a system wide approach to deliver sustainable improvements in the quality of care provided to patients and their families the the end of life. Lindsey Lodge Lindsey Lodge have been instrumental in the adoption of the learning outcomes and the development of the education programme by providing dedicated personnel and hours to the partnership.
