Teddy Bear’s Picnic planned at hospice

We're promising tiny tots some half term fun at our first ever Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice will hold the event in its Burringham Road grounds on Tuesday 28 May, between 11am and 2pm and children are invited to bring along their very special cuddly friend to enjoy a picnic, games and even a special story time feature about Hospice mascot Lindsey Bear.

Hospice Fundraiser Selina Doyle said: “Our Easter Eggstravaganza was such a huge success with young children and families we wanted to offer them something more to do over the half-term holidays.

“We’ve got music, games, a bouncy castle and face painting, along with a delicious picnic and refreshments, as well as few surprises – all in the safe surroundings of Lindsey Lodge Hospice.”

Tickets for the event cost £6 per child (which includes a picnic box) and £4 per adult (includes buffet food), and every penny raised at the event will go towards providing the Hospice’s patients with specialist palliative care.

Selina added: “We don’t just care for patients, we provide advice and support for their loved ones too, so families are at the heart of everything we do.

“We hope children and families will come along and support this event, so we can continue to make a difference in the community we serve.”

Lindsey Lodge Hospice is now accepting bookings for its Teddy Bear’s picnic, but places are limited, so please book online here or email llh.enquiries@nhs.net
