Thrill seeking children across North Lincolnshire are being invited to take on a challenge to raise much needed funds for their local hospice.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice marked the official launch of their ‘Shark Dive’ challenge, at Skegness Aquarium, where it will be throwing down the gauntlet to young people to take part in the hair-raising challenge.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Fundraising Assistant April Buttrick said: “The challenges are a fantastic opportunity for children to have fun doing something unforgettable, while raising much needed funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

“We’re inviting youngsters aged over 10 to get up close and personal with an array of sea life species, from bat rays and unicorn fish to black tip reef sharks and zebra sharks!”

Lindsey Lodge Hospice has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses for over 27 years. It relies on fundraising and donations to raise the £3.5 million it needs each year to continue to deliver its care in North Lincolnshire.

April said: “Last December alone, children across North Lincolnshire raised a phenomenal £6,000 for the hospice with their Elf Yourself School events, which goes to show how incredible their support is to us.

“So, if you’re not a strong swimmer you can take part in our barefoot brick walk, or go with the glow in our Mini Glow Walk, we really do have a whole array of challenges for the younger generation!”
