A group of brave members of a local traffic management company are set to take on one of the UK’s biggest obstacle courses on Saturday 1 July for their chosen charity.

The team from Shift Traffic Management will head to Bramham Park in Leeds to tackle 25 obstacles including fire, ice and mud, over a distance of 12km known as the Tough Warrior to raise funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare.

Lindsey Lodge Fundraiser Courtney Deans said: “We are so grateful to the team from Shift Traffic for daring to take part in such a major event for Lindsey Lodge!

“The company does so much for us already, as they are one of our Brand Partners, who sponsor our key events – so giving up their own time to raise funds for us is very much appreciated and we wish them lots of luck!”

Shift Traffic Planning Manager Kyle Stephenson said: “Lindsey Lodge is such an important charity in our local community. They rely heavily on fundraising to provide their care, so we’re happy to be giving them our support.”

He added: “We’re all in training for the big day, and our fundraising target is £2,500 – and one thing’s for sure – we’re going to get very muddy!”
