Crowle shopWe're set to open a brand new retail outlet on the Isle of Axholme.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice will open its Lindsey’s Pre-loved and Gift Shop at 11 High Street, Crowle at 10.30am on Monday 16 September, selling pre-loved high street and designer brands for men and women, along with a range of brand new home and giftware.

The Hospice provides specialist care to North Lincolnshire patients with any progressive life-limiting illness, and supports their family and carers during illness and into bereavement. The new outlet will add to its portfolio of charity shops across Ashby, Brigg, Barton, Epworth, Messingham and Scunthorpe, which generate a significant contribution to its £3.5 million annual running costs.

Lindsey Lodge Chief Executive Karen Griffiths said: “We’re delighted to be opening our first shop in Crowle.
“We already have a fantastic level of support across the Isle for our fundraising activities, so this is the perfect place to bring our Lindsey’s brand.”

The shop will be run a member of the Lindsey Lodge Hospice retail team, who will be supported by volunteers. It will normally be open Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 4.30pm, but will open a full seven days in its first week to celebrate the Crowle 1940s weekend. It will offer a range of high-end fashion for both men and women, along with a range of modern gift and homeware accessories. The team will also be happy to receive donations at the Crowle centre store.

Karen said: “The retail sector is changing and charity shops are no different, so we must adapt to meet ever changing consumer tastes and habits.

“From bargain pop-up shops to traditional charity shops, to outlets dedicated just to books – people want variety.

“We hope this new shop will provide the people of Crowle with an opportunity to enjoy good quality merchandise at a fraction of the usual high street cost, along with raising awareness of the important work of Lindsey Lodge in the local community.”

She added: “We hope people will come along to support us and see what a fantastic selection of stock we have to offer.”
