Charity strong man competition
Charity strong man competition
Event Name
Visitors to North Lindsey College, Scunthorpe on Sunday 18 August are in for some jaw dropping feats of strength, at the sixth annual North Lincolnshire’s Strongest Man competition.
Hundreds of local people visit the event every year to see giants from all around the country do battle in two categories - open and under 105kg - including classes such as a frame carry, keg toss, Viking press, an obscure objects loading race and deadlifting a car.
The event, which promises a fun day out for all the family, is generously being held in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, by Scunthorpe-based strong man Richard Cowling and family in memory of his sister Laura.
The competition runs from 11am to 5pm at North Lindsey College on Sunday, 18 August. Admission is just £2 per person, under-fives go free. Onsite parking is free.
