Light up a Life 2023 2pm Service Event Name
£0.00Registration Cost
7th December 23Registration Deadline
We are inviting people across North Lincolnshire to Light up a Life and remember a lost loved one.

Please join us on Thursday 7 December at St Hughs Church, 75 Old Brumby Street, Scunthorpe, DN16 2AJ for a very special service of carols, readings, music, celebration and reflection. This year we have two services, our 2pm service is our quiet and low noise service, perfect for anyone with additional sensory requirements or that can’t make the evening service. Our 7pm service is our main session and includes appearances from The Hospice Harmonies Choir and The Humberside Police Band. Refreshments will be available 45 minutes before each service in the community hall, which is attached to the Church.

Our Light up a Life service is available to anyone who has lost someone, not just those people whose loved one was cared for by the Hospice. Anyone who would like to dedicate a light and see it shine bright can make a dedication. Each light represents a life, and will remain lit throughout the Christmas period in our Memorial Garden.

Deadline for dedications has now passed.

This year you also have the additional option of purchasing a special acrylic star decoration for an additional donation of £5, to display proudly on your tree for years to come.

If you’re unable to join us at St Hughs, we will also be streaming the service live, so you can join us no matter where you are. We’re encouraging people to turn on their Christmas lights at home simultaneously with the lighting of the Hospice tree.

All previous submited dedications for your loved one will be placed in our Book of Dedication, which will be available to view in our Summer House at the Hospice from Tuesday 5th December amongst the glistening Christmas trees.
