Fundraising in the community

You don’t have to take part in one of our organised activities to raise money.

Lots of our supporters choose to ‘do it themselves’ and raise money ‘in aid of’ Lindsey Lodge.

Whether you’re an individual organising a cake bake, a school or college organising a dress down day, or a pub or club holding a ticketed event, all you need to do is let us know what you’re doing by completing one of our fundraising notification forms.

We’ll then provide you with a fundraising pack full of useful information to help you along the way. If you want to contact local businesses for prizes on sponsorship, don’t forget you need a letter of authorisation first. Please remember, a member of our Fundraising Team is always at the end of the telephone to help and advise you.

If you’re not planning to stage an event in your own home or garden, but in a public venue, it’s important to check it has the relevant insurance and licences for food, alcohol and entertainment.

To make sure your event is as successful as possible, it’s important to set the date well enough in advance for you to raise awareness and attract as much publicity as possible. We’re always happy to promote community events via our website and social media channels, and can help with posters if required.

Community Fundraising Supporter Groups

Would you be interested in setting up a Lindsey Lodge Hospice Supporter Group in your town or village, or maybe you’d like to join one of our existing groups?
These are groups of friends, family, neighbours or colleagues who help out with fundraising activities, as well as looking after and maintaining our collecting tins and house boxes in their local community on our behalf.
Our Fundraising Team will work closely to support you with practical help, as well as providing promotional materials to help you advertise your activities.
By using your personal contacts and local knowledge, you’ll be raising awareness of the important work of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, and helping us to reach out to the neighbourhoods we serve.
To find out about where our existing supporter groups are located and how to join, or for information on how to set up your own, please phone our Fundraising Team on (01724) 270835.

Community Volunteer Ambassadors

Our Community Ambassadors are a passionate, enthusiastic and confident network of volunteers, who represent Lindsey Lodge, spreading the word about our work in the community and raising awareness of our fundraising activities. This is a fun and varied role for those who enjoy public speaking and meeting new and different people. As a representative of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, we would like you to be a passionate supporter and an enthusiastic and confident communicator.

Could you be a Young Ambassador?

Our Young Ambassadors are aged between 18 and 40, and reach out to the next generation of potential Hospice supporters and help Lindsey Lodge fundraisers with their activities.

It could be shaking a bucket on our behalf at a local supermarket, organising a raffle or tombola at an event, or helping out at a Christmas party – there really is something for everyone, and as most of our events are family friendly, you can bring the family along too!

For more information about becoming a Lindsey Lodge Hospice Ambassador, please phone our Fundraising Team on 01724 270835.
