Join Lindsey Lodge Hospice and experience the thrill of a lifetime by standing on the wing of a plane as it soars through the sky! This is your incredible chance to tick a huge item off your bucket list while raising crucial funds for patient care in your community. \n  \nChallenge Dates & Locations\nThe Wickenby aerodrome in Lincolnshire has limited availability on the following dates. \nFriday 26th – Sunday 28th June 2026\nFriday 21st – Sunday 23rd August 2026\nPlease note that specific flight times will be confirmed directly with the aerodrome once your wing walk is paid for. \n  \nHow to Sign Up & Fundraise\nTo join the challenge\, first Confirm Interest by singing up via our website. After this\, you will be sent a link to sign up on the Wing Walk website where you will need to pay a £75 deposit to secure your spot. We ask that you Commit to Care by raising a minimum of £1000 eight weeks before you take on the challenge. Once you reach your target via JustGiving\, the aerodrome informs us\, and your wing walk is officially paid for and confirmed—then you’re Ready to Fly! \n  \nWhat to Expect on the Day\nUpon arrival\, you will be welcomed and fully briefed by the team before being securely strapped into the special CAA-approved harness and rig. Before you know it\, you will have taken to the skies for an unforgettable wing walk experience with your pilot. You should wear a couple of layers of close-fitting\, comfortable clothing and flat-soled\, lace-up footwear. Earplugs and goggles are provided\, and jewellery will need to be removed for the display. \n  \nParticipant Guidelines\nTo ensure the safety of all participants\, please note that Wing Walkers must be between 18 and 80 years old (a doctor’s note or self-declaration is required for participants 80+). You must be between 5 and 6 feet tall (1.52m – 1.83m) and able to climb unassisted to the top of the aircraft. Maximum weight limits vary by location: 13 stone 4lbs (85kg) for the Kent\, Lincolnshire\, and Somerset aerodromes. You cannot take part if you have or are suffering from a number of specified medical conditions; if you have any pre-existing medical conditions\, you should consult your doctor. All wing walkers will be required to sign a disclaimer prior to taking part. \nSpectators are welcome! Together\, Joe and his co-host\, Tom Fordyce\, meet ordinary people doing extraordinary things. The most talked-about event of the summer is returning to Heslam Park on Sunday\, 16th August\, and we’ve given it a massive superhero upgrade. \nThis isn’t just a run; it’s an epic obstacle mission where your little ones can truly unleash their inner hero! It is not a race and you can go at your own pace and all ages are welcome. \nAdults run for FREE! The Mission: To help us continue our vital work\, we ask every hero to raise a minimum of £10 in sponsorship for Lindsey Lodge Hospice. \nPlease select your preferred start time for the run. Everyone is welcome to join us from 10:30 AM to enjoy the day regardless of your scheduled run time! \nFood will be served from 11am and the kids party will commence at 12pm. \nNEW FOR THIS YEAR\nYou asked for more bubbles\, and we listened! We are bringing in a GIANT Super Foam Machine to blast our heroes. Sale ends 11th April. \n  \nJoin us for our biggest annual fundraiser of the year \nOur Glow Walk is a sponsored walk\, with each participant pledging to raise a minimum of £50 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice. We offer a  10-mile route and a shorter 5 mile route\, to encourage as many people as possible to get involved and experience the very special atmosphere that the Glow Walk evening brings. \nWhat to Expect\nWe’ll have pre-event music and a fun warm-up\, and glow walkers are encouraged to literally light up the night with their outfits and accessories\, whilst raising sponsorship to provide the much-needed funds Lindsey Lodge needs to continue to provide its care. \nFor the last mile of the walk\, we are offering our walkers the option to walk with a memory lantern to remember their loved ones. \nThere will also be a screen sharing memory photos of our walkers’ loved ones\, which they can send to us in advance by sending to marketing@lindseylodgehospice.org.uk \nWhether it’s to walk in memory of a friend or loved one\, a way of keeping fit\, or simply to do something different with your friends on a Friday night – whatever the reason\, you’ll be sure of a fantastic night – all in aid of Lindsey Lodge! \nBookings for Glow Walk include your finishers medal and fundraising pack with a glow walk T-Shirt.
