Engineering and construction giant supports hospice

A Grimsby-based engineering and construction company has given its chosen charity a £2,211 boost in addition to helping to collect over 400 Christmas trees for recycling in January.

Staff at ENGIE Fabricom UK arranged cake sales, dress down days and a Christmas party raffle to raise funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice during 2018, and for a full week in January the company generously provided a two-man team and transport to support the Hospice’s first ever Treecycling scheme.

Richard Webster, CEO for ENGIE Fabricom UK said: “After spending time visiting Lindsey Lodge and seeing the fantastic work they do in providing care to local people, it certainly made me proud that we was able to support such a worthwhile charity. We are passionate about supporting local charities and we have already started filling the calendar for 2019.”
Lindsey Lodge Hospice provides specialist palliative care to North Lincolnshire people living with life-limiting illnesses. Its dedicated team of staff and volunteers touch the lives of hundreds of people every year, either directly as patients, or by supporting family members or carers, before, during and after one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice Fundraiser Rob Dannatt said: “This is a huge amount of money and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone at ENGIE Fabricom for choosing to support Lindsey Lodge and putting so much effort into their fundraising activities.

“Their generosity in providing transport and manpower for our Treecycling activities helped us to raise over £2,800 from the scheme this year; we really couldn’t have done it without them!”

He added: “This is a fantastic example of how local companies can work in partnership with us to really make a difference in the communities we serve and we look forward to working with the ENGIE Fabricom team over the next 12 months.”
