Staff Benefits at Lindsey Lodge
HOLIDAYS & ENTITLEMENTS
As much as we all enjoy our work we also need a bit of ‘our time’ to recharge our batteries or during times of need. All staff are entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement, in addition to eight public/bank holidays. Leave entitlement increases with length of service.
A PENSION SCHEME
If you are eligible to join the NHS Pension Scheme, then you will be automatically opted in unless you choose to opt out. If you are not eligible to join the NHS Pension Scheme then you will automatically be opted in to the Lindsey Lodge pension scheme [Standard Life]. You also have the right to opt out of this scheme. Pension deductions will be recorded on your payslip.
STAFF HEALTH & WELLBEING
A priority is to support our workforce and to promote good physical, mental and psychological health and wellbeing. We have established a multidisciplinary group who identify and provide a range of initiatives to support our staff and volunteers in the workplace. We are also working with North Lincs Council and participating in their healthy workplace award scheme demonstrating our commitment to becoming a healthier workplace by achieving a silver award and are currently striving for Gold.
We also offer access to ‘spectrum life,’ an external employee assistance programme – this includes a free confidential counselling and wellbeing support service available to LL employees 24/7 365 days a year, plus access to recipes, live exercise classes and a catalogue of exercise videos to watch at your convenience and access to podcasts.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Lindsey Lodge places great emphasis on keeping its entire staff well trained and up-to-date. These values are carried forward to include non-clinical staff and volunteers. All new starters receive a comprehensive induction session.
Education and training are key to the philosophy of Lindsey Lodge. This includes the importance of education for both its own staff, and the wider health care teams, in understanding the impact and needs of people who have life limiting illness as well as their carers.
There is access to a Clinical Trainer on site who can advise and guide you on personal development and access to supervision.
CAR PARKING
There is ample free car parking available for all staff on-site at Lindsey Lodge.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
Staff are able to purchase substantially subsidised meals, sandwiches, cakes etc in Lindsey’s Meet and Eat, our on-site restaurant facility.
There is also an excellent staff room and gardens where staff can enjoy their breaks and lunch periods.
BLUE LIGHT CARD
For a small fee staff can access the Blue Light Card, available to all NHS and social care/hospice staff. Discounts and offers are then available from thousands of high street shops restaurants and cinemas including Apple, Starbucks, New Look, JD Sports, Hungry Horse and more.
FREE DBS CHECKS
