Lindsey Lodge Boosts Energy Efficiency Thanks to Severn Trent Community Fund

We are delighted to announce that Lindsey Lodge Hospice has been awarded a generous £15,710 grant from the Severn Trent Community Fund. This vital funding has enabled us to complete the second stage of our window replacement scheme, significantly improving our facilities for patients, families, and staff.

Transforming Our Environment

The grant was used to replace original windows in several key areas in the wellbeing centre side of our hospice, including:

  • Treatment and consultation rooms
  • Therapy Rooms
  • The Re-enablement Gym

As these windows were part of the hospice’s original build over 30 years ago, they had become outdated and inefficient. Thanks to this support, we have been able to replace them with modern, high-quality alternatives that would have otherwise been beyond our reach.

A Greener, Warmer Hospice

This project is a cornerstone of our ongoing commitment to becoming a greener organisation. By installing these new windows, we are not only making the hospice a warmer and more comfortable environment for those in our care, but we are also significantly boosting the building’s energy efficiency.

The windows in our Inpatient Unit were replaced in 2024, thanks to another generous grant from North Lincolnshire Council.

The improved insulation will allow us to reduce our carbon footprint and save on heating bills—ensuring that more of our funds can be directed where they matter most: patient care.

A Word from the Severn Trent Community Fund

“We’re delighted to support Lindsey Lodge with the installation of new windows. This improvement not only helps create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and families, but it also boosts the building’s energy efficiency for years to come. It’s wonderful to see funding make such a practical difference to a place that means so much to the local community.”

Looking Ahead

While this marks a huge milestone for the hospice, our work is not yet finished. We are now actively searching for further funding to complete the final stage of the project, which includes the remaining hospice windows and our conservatory. Thank you to the Severn Trent Community Fund for their generous grant which enabled us to finish the second stage of this project.
