Newmedica Support Lindsey Hospice at Christmas

At Lindsey Lodge Hospice, donations go a long way and during the festive period last year, Lincolnshire Newmedica Eye Health Clinic & Surgical Centre wanted to give back to Lindsey Lodge Hospice in a big way.

Lindsey Lodge has touched the lives of many of the team in Lincolnshire, including Business Development Manager, Lucy Heath.  Lucy’s connection with the hospice comes from her father, who many years ago used our respite services and was able to return home. After he left our care, he and Lucy went on to raise over £15,000 for us in donations.

Due to the amazing work undertaken by our teams, Newmedica Lincolnshire wanted to support Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Following a discussion with our Fundraising Co-ordinator Selina, they took her inspiration from the shoe box campaign and organised their colleagues at Newmedica Lincolnshire to donate gifts for our patients over the festive period.

Just before their Christmas party in Brigg in late November, over 30 of Newmedica Lincolnshire team arrived at our Brigg shop brimming with boxes, bags, and an abundance of thoughtfully selected gifts to support patients receiving care over the Christmas period.

We cannot thank the team enough for their generosity in providing such a plentiful array of gifts for our patients and volunteers.

Here’s what the Director of Operations at Newmedica Eye Health Clinic & Surgical Centre, Helen Labrom had to say:

“As a community ophthalmology provider based in Lincolnshire, it’s a privilege to be able to help and support the local community.  Providing excellent treatment to our patients is our main priority however, our role in the community as a whole is just as important to us.  Lindsey Lodge and their incredible team have touched the lives of many of our team and we felt it only right that we ended the year by showing our gratitude.”
