Donate Your Items to Lindsey Lodge
We accept good-quality donated items to our charity shops.
Our charity shops will accept donated items where possible, but there may be occasions when people are turned away if the storage space is full. Please call your chosen shop in advance of donating items and they will advise if they have space. Please not we cannot accept furniture at our shops.
We also accept donated items at our Charity Warehouse, which is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to Health and Safety and the requirement to protect our staff and volunteers, PLEASE DO NOT leave items outside our shops if they are not open. Instead, please return when they are open. Your items will not be taken if they are left outside.
To avoid any disappointment, please bear in mind the following:
Because our stores can become full with donations very quickly, please call your local shop ahead of time if you are wanting to donate.
We welcome donations any day that our shops and warehouse are open.
Items we DO accept
- Books – in any condition
- Clothes for men, women and children
- Shoes and handbags
- Clothing accessories (including ties, belts
and jewellery) - Bric a Brac and household items:
Bedding, curtains etc - CDs, DVDs and vinyl LPs
- Children’s toys and games
- Furniture and upholstered items WITH fire
labels - Electrical items such as lamps, stereos etc
- Foreign coins and stamps.
Items we DON’T accept
- Cigarettes or any tobacco product
- Ammunition, swords, sword sticks, cross bows or other offensive
- weapon
- Buoyancy aids, lifejackets, inflatable dinghies, any inflatable toy for
- use on water
- Candles without instructions
- Cigarette lighters, refills canisters, ashtrays
- Cleaning agents, solvents and adhesives
- Computer hard drives
- Electric showers
- Electric blankets
- Fire fighting equipment
- Gas appliances (mains or bottled goods)
- Guns (including replica guns unless obviously toys)
- Pushchairs and prams need a label stating it complies with British
- Standard 7409:1996 and have the correct fire labels ‘Carelessness
- Causes Fires’
- Home recorded computer games and software on recordable CDs /
- DVDs
- Home recorded video and audio tapes / DVDs
- Knives (other than table knives sold as part of a cutlery set)
- Medication including vitamins
- Oil heaters
- Perishable goods, food and drink
- Personal appliances, e.g. electric shavers, unless in sealed box
- Power tools without safety instructions
- Prescription spectacles
- Real fur or fur trimmed products
- Safety harnesses of any sort
- Safety helmets – riding hats, crash helmets, cycle helmets
- Sunbeds and tanning equipment
- Upholstered items without fire labels, e.g beds/mattresses, padded
- headboards, upholstered dining chairs and footstools, etc
- Waste disposal units.
