Harold Lazenby
“ I have always felt there should be something at Lindsey Lodge where I could honour the memory of my wonderful father. I struggle to go to his grave, but having a place here I can go where I feel more connected to him means the world to me”
Harold Lazenby lost his battle with kidney disease at Lindsey Lodge Hospice in June 2023. After Harold and his family were told dialysis was no longer working the family began to look at the palliative care options available. They were concerned about managing his pain at home, and so were invited to come and look around Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Harold Lazenby
Harold’s daughter, Carolyn, recalls feeling a sense of immense relief the moment she walked through the doors. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere immediately put their minds at ease, and they swiftly arranged for Harold to be admitted.
Carolyn can’t praise the hospice staff enough for the compassionate care they gave to Harold and the entire family. They helped them navigate their unimaginable grief from the moment they arrived. On 11 June 2023, surrounded by his family, Harold passed away peacefully.
