Golfers are invited to go above par to tee off at one of the UK’s and Ireland’s top 100 courses to raise funds for a charity-run hospice.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice has teamed up with DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort for the first time to present its Golf Day on Thursday 12 September, to raise the much needed funds required to run its round the clock palliative care for patients and families with life-limiting illnesses.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Head of Fundraising Tom Moody said: “We’re delighted to be holding our Charity Golf Day at such a prestigious championship venue.

“For just £300, teams of four can join us for our 18 hole competition, which includes tea, coffee and a bacon butty, before setting off on a shotgun start from 10am.

“We’ll also provide a refreshment buggy and half way house, with fantastic prizes for the winning team, longest drive and closest to the pin, along with some other surprises during the day.

“We’ll round the whole day off with a delicious two-course dinner, followed by entertainment and presentation of all of the awards.”

DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Director of Sales Lizzie Harwood said: “We are really excited to be hosting the Lindsey Lodge Charity Golf Day here at Forest Pines in September!

“With the majority of our employees being local, the hospice is something close to all of our hearts and we are delighted to be able to support the event.

“We encourage local people and our members to get involved for this great cause.”

Tom Moody added: “We truly are a local charity supporting local people, and every penny raised from the event will go towards providing the best possible palliative care at the Hospice, so we really hope the local golfing fraternity will turn out to support our Lindsey Lodge Golf Day.”
