Volunteering for Lindsey Lodge
If you’re coming out the latest Lockdown looking for exciting new experiences, Lindsey Lodge might just have the answer for you.
The past 12 months have been tough for charities like us, who rely on fundraising events and activities, so we’re so excited to be able to open these up again to the public – but we’re going big this year and could really do with some additional volunteer support!

As a volunteer in our Meet and Eat cafe your role will include not only helping to support the running of our on-site cafe, but also to help make our visitors feel welcome and enjoy great food within a relaxed and friendly setting. Volunteering as part of a small catering team, you will have the opportunity to get involved in food preparation, taking and serving orders and processing payments. We are looking for friendly and approachable volunteers who are able to work on their own initiative and care about delivering good customer service. Individuals should have an up to date Basic Food Hygiene certificate although full training will be provided if you don’t already possess this certificate. A range of hours are available.
Volunteering in the gardens at Lindsey Lodge, your role will include not only helping to support the maintenance and development of our gardens and courtyard areas, but provide an opportunity to work alongside North Lincolnshire council garden team that lead the maintenance project. Volunteering as part of a small group of existing volunteers – tasks include – maintaining flower beds, cutting lawns, watering flowers, maintaining patient area courtyards, ensuring pathways are clean and tidy along with any other tasks associated with our gardens. Whether it’s manning a cheering checkpoint, helping to manage a start area or collecting with a bucket at the supermarket, our events volunteers play a vital role in making events happen. Once you’re in as an events volunteer it’s easy to get hooked. For some people it’s the excitement of event day and meeting new people. For others it’s developing new skills and being more behind the scenes. All of our volunteers are passionate about the cause and that’s what makes the difference.
