A hospice is set to invite North Lincolnshire couples who are planning a wedding on a budget to say ‘yes to the dress’, when it opens a Wedding Loft on Scunthorpe High Street.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice will officially cut the ribbon on The Wedding Loft, which is situated on the first floor of its brand new Lindsey’s Pre-loved Fashion and Gifts at 126 High Street on Wednesday 5 February at 10am.
Lindsey Lodge Chief Executive Karen Griffiths said: “This is an exciting new venture for us in the heart of the High Street.
“We’ve got a fantastic two-storey premises, offering a whole range of new and pre-loved fashion and gifts for men, women and children on the ground floor, then upstairs we’ve created a beautiful bridal boutique, stocking wedding, bridesmaid and prom dresses, mother-of-the bride wear along with a range of men’s suits, so we really do have something for everyone!”
In less than six months Lindsey Lodge has expanded its retail portfolio to 13 stores, opening new shops in Crowle, Barton and Thorne, as well as a central Retail Distribution and Donation Centre on Crosby Road. It also has plans to open a homeware and electrical store at its revamped shop on Laneham Street and new shops in both Epworth and Gainsborough.
Karen said: “We’re supporting more people than ever in our 27-year history, so in order to continue to provide our specialist care, we have to look at new ways to increase the much-needed revenue required to meet our £3.5 million annual running costs.”
She added: “A wedding dress holds lots of happy memories, so choosing to donate yours, or buy one from Lindsey Lodge Hospice, means you’re giving a very special gift of care to North Lincolnshire patients and their families.”
