Trustees’ Week is a time for us to come together nationally to celebrate the achievements of nearly one million trustees across the UK. Thank you for the time, commitment and effort you bring to your charities to help them thrive.

Here at Lindsey Lodge we have 11 Trustees who all volunteer their varying areas of expertise, to help drive our charity to success. This week we would like to take the time to shine a spotlight on a few of our members and thank them for their time.

The trustees in their role ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document (Memorandum and Articles of Association), organisation law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations and ensure the organisation does not spend money on activities which are not included in its own objects, no matter how worthwhile or charitable those activities are. Their role  offers valuable oversight and scrutiny to safeguard the reputation and values of the organisation.

The trustees are a diverse group of volunteers and support the organisation in many different ways representing at functions and meetings as appropriate.  They will attend Board meetings and a number of sub-committees of the Board building up both the understanding of operational areas and areas where they feel they can add value to our work. It is important that like any other volunteer they feel fulfilled by this role and they make an extremely valuable oversight and scrutiny contribution which we value and appreciate.

A Thank you from Karen Griffiths, Chief Executive

On behalf of the senior leadership team and all other staff and volunteers, we take this opportunity to thank-you our 11 Trustees for giving their time to Lindsey Lodge Hospice in such an important and valuable way.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice is a hugely successful charity delivering excellence in palliative and end of life care to people across North Lincolnshire every year. The trustees offer a valuable contribution in governing and guiding the organisation as well as contributing to our strategic direction and this is vital to our success. The senior leaders work with trustees to tap into their specific skills, knowledge and experiences in order that they use the different perspectives and opinions available to them as they plan and deliver services.
