Please join us at our annual Light up a Life Service at 6.45pm on Thursday 15 December at Normanby Hall Country Park.
We're inviting families and friends to come together to remember and celebrate the lives of lost loved ones at the event, which will be a very special service of carols, readings, music, celebration and reflection, including appearances from the Humberside Police Band, accompanied by choir Hospice Harmonies, as well as Piper Danny Fleming.
Lindsey Lodge Fundraising Manager Kirsty Walker said: “We’re extremely grateful to Normanby Hall Country Park and North Lincolnshire Council for supporting our Light up a Life service again this year.
“The Hall and gardens provide such a beautiful setting for this special evening of celebration and reflection, and allow us to welcome even more supporters to one of the most important memorial events in our Lindsey Lodge calendar.”
She added: “This has been our 30th anniversary year, which has seen us complete one of our biggest expansion plans in 20 years, as we opened our new six-bed inpatient Butterfly Wing, along with a 24/7 hour specialist palliative care advice service – the Butterfly Line, to enable us to reach even more local people and families who need our support.”
Lindsey Lodge’s Light up a Life service welcomes anyone who has lost someone, not just those people whose loved one was cared for by the Hospice. Those taking part will be able to dedicate a light which represents a life, that will remain lit throughout the Christmas period in Lindsey Lodge’s Memorial Garden. The service will also be streamed live for anyone unable to attend the Normanby Hall event.
Kirsty said: “We are a local charity supporting local people, and we hope that by taking part in our Light up a Life Service, we’ll all be sharing a little light, love and hope to mark the end of one of our most important years.”
